Our high school girls' basketball team has made it to Washington D.C.! They will be participating in a tournament and exploring the city's sights. Have a blast, ladies!
"I have had a calling for many years to make our playgrounds more inclusive for kids with disabilities and being in this new role as assistant principal this year at the ECC building has made me put that into action! To date, we have received $85,000 donated between free concrete, basketball goals, and anonymous check donations. Over Christmas break, we had a basketball pad poured, along with a sidewalk which will be used as a trike path that goes around the entire playground. This will foster play amongst typical peers and those with disabilities AND eliminate muddy paths with wheelchairs. We have more money to raise to get it completed but we are getting there one step at at time!"
