PLEASE READ From Mrs. Tackett: Hello Parents of 2024-2025 school year Athletes and Marching Band Members, Your student's current physical expires at the end of this month. To be able to participate in summer activities such as Broncho Iron, Red Dirt, summer leagues, summer camps, and workouts they will need a physical date after May 1st, 2024 uploaded to Final Forms. Before uploading any documents please make sure all necessary signatures are completed. If they participated in the physicals we did at school on May 9th we encouraged everyone to take photos of their physicals. If you have those photos you can upload them to Final Forms. We will be able to clear those quickly. If you did not take photos we can upload the documents. It will just reduce the turnaround time for clearance if we do not have to scan in every document. You will need to upload all pages in the document found here except the instruction page. https://ossaaillustrated.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/MF_2023-24_PhysicalForm.pdf On June 1st you will need to go in and activate Final Forms for the upcoming school year. There will be several forms to update and sign. You will see a list of forms and they will be red. As you sign them they will turn green or yellow. When all forms are green or yellow the parent part is complete. Your student will then need to login to their account and electronically sign 5 forms. Those forms will turn from red to green as they are signed. As they are signed your yellow forms will turn green. Once all forms are green for both parents and students and a complete, signed physical has been cleared your student is cleared until May 31st, 2025. If you have an incoming 7th grader, a student new to the district, or a student competing in athletics and marching band for the first time you will need to create a Final Forms account. On June 1st go to this link and follow the instructions. https://www.bethanybronchos.com/vnews/display.v/SEC/Forms%7CAthletic%20Forms If you have any questions please email me. Jackson Dull (Muscogee Creek and Cherokee), a Junior, was accepted into the Voices of Oklahoma Internship at the University of Oklahoma in conjunction with their archeology department! Students will have the opportunity to earn college credits while learning about the discipline of archeology as a tool that can produce knowledge that compliments other ways that communities understand their heritage. This summer the program focuses on Native American boarding schools. Based on Jackson’s academic achievements, recommendation letters from teachers, questionnaire, and interview, he was accepted into the program in February 2024. The internship will last from June 2024 through August 2024. Jackson will then present and share his experience with the Bethany High School Native American Heritage club. Jackson will also be attending Boys State this summer with fellow classmates who were also nominated. Jackson has maintained a 4.5 GPA this year along with being part of the Bethany High School football team and track and field team! We are so proud of you, Jackson!

We are excited to announce the newest addition to our Bethany family. Mr. Brandon Nyberg will be stepping into the role of our first full-time Activities Director for the 2024-2025 school year. Mr. Nyberg currently resides in Seiling, Oklahoma, where he has served as their Athletic Director and Elementary Principal. Before that, he taught and coached basketball, softball, and golf. He had a career record of 487-221 with 4 State Tournament appearances as a basketball coach. As an athletic director at Seiling, his school won 10 state championships and 2 runner-up finishes in football, basketball, baseball, and track. We are excited to bring Mr. Nyberg’s reputation of success to the already established reputation of our Bethany fine arts and athletic programs. As our Activities Director, Mr. Nyberg will be instrumental in supporting and enhancing our fine arts and athletic programs by fostering a culture of teamwork, sportsmanship, dedication, hard work, and excellence. Mr. Nyberg will begin his tenure in July. Around that time, we will host a gathering to allow Mr. Nyberg to share his vision for all our Bethany programs with the community. We would like to welcome Mr. Nyberg to Bethany!

"I have had a calling for many years to make our playgrounds more inclusive for kids with disabilities and being in this new role as assistant principal this year at the ECC building has made me put that into action! To date, we have received $85,000 donated between free concrete, basketball goals, and anonymous check donations. Over Christmas break, we had a basketball pad poured, along with a sidewalk which will be used as a trike path that goes around the entire playground. This will foster play amongst typical peers and those with disabilities AND eliminate muddy paths with wheelchairs. We have more money to raise to get it completed but we are getting there one step at at time!"
