Let's give a shout-out to a few of our middle school football players who have stepped up to help the high school football team and coaches on Friday nights ..... helping with balls, water, tees, and whatever else the players or coaches might need on the sidelines! On Saturday, September 20th, Will Rogers World Airport is hosting its annual 'Girls in Aviation Day'.
This is a free event that is scheduled from 10 AM until 2 PM. A FREE lunch is also provided.
You do NOT have to be in aviation class to attend. All interested students are invited.

This week’s Teacher Feature is on Jacob Pennington, who wears a LOT of hats for Bethany Schools! Coach Pennington teaches World History for Sophomores, World Geography and Oklahoma History for Freshmen, and High School History Electives Psychology and Sociology.
He is also the Head MS Football 🏈Coach, HS Football Offensive Coordinator 🏈and Assistant HS Boys and Girls Soccer Coach⚽
Coach Pennington received his Bachelors in History Education from Southern Nazarene University, and has been in education for 19 years total, luckily for us, seven of them here at Bethany!
A fun fact about Coach Pennington ….. He LOVES Manchester United ⚽and hasn’t missed watching a game for the last four years! In fact, his dream job (if he wasn’t a teacher) would be youth pastor, or Director of Football Operations at Manchester United!

We also asked Coach Pennington how he got started in education: “I just wanted to be where God wanted me to be, I enjoy teaching and coaching because I feel like God can use me to help the most people. I love that I get to teach and coach with my best friend Coach Sean Williams.”

Congratulations to our 8th grade Lady Broncho volleyball team on their exciting come-from-behind win over Newcastle this evening in the first match of the season. Special shout out to Ava G, for completing the 13 serves in a row (10 aces!) to clinch the win .... great job! The 7th grade team dropped two close sets to Newcastle, but showed lots of potential and talent on the court .... this is going to be a great year of volleyball for the Bronchos!
Our 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams met bright and early the first day of school and marked the occasion with a photo. We are excited to see great things from this team (and others!) this school year!
