Parents, just a reminder for schedule pick up next week, the following items must be complete (there will be staff at the school to help you finish any of the these tasks, if needed):
Cleared of all library fines
Free & Reduced Lunch

Internet agreement form signed (link sent via email this week)
Walk home permission form signed (optional; applies to in-district students only)

Also, great news, the parking lot is paved (not painted yet, but paving is complete) so it is our understanding you will be able to enter through the middle school doors next week.

Wednesday, Aug 6th, is 6th grade
Thursday/Friday, Aug 7th and 8th, is for all new students and anyone who missed their day

Parents! Thank you to those who have taken care of online registration (OLR) for your student! However, we still have almost 200 middle school students whose parents have NOT done their online registration. Without that information, the free & reduced lunch application, and the google forms for internet agreement and walk-home permission (if appicable) your child will not be able to pick up their schedule next week. Please note the office staff will be available tomorrow (Thursday) from 8-3 to help with Parent Portal/Infinite Campus log ins if needed. During schedule pick up times, we will be unable to stop and reassign Infinite Campus passwords. Please make sure you have taken care of this in advance if needed. We are excited to see your students next week and want everything to run as smoothly as possible for them. Thank you!

Day One of Yearbook Camp was a success! This group is sharp and catches on quick! We're excited for the upcoming year!!

A request from BMS Yearbook: One thing we LOVE to spotlight each year are the summer happenings of our BMS students. Vacations, staycations, summer jobs, hobbies, camps, sports .... ALL THE THINGS! If your student has been somewhere or done something that you would be willing to share, PLEASE take a moment to upload the photo via our (new) yearbook company website: www.yearbookforever.com Simply search for "Bethany Middle School" and use the passcode: bronchos. Tell us a little about the photo, so we can be envious of all the cool things. :) We'll ask periodically throughout the summer as a reminder ... and each time, will say THANK YOU! And keep having fun, Bronchos!

Parents, there are just a few days left to pre-order school supply packs ..... EPI can take care of your back to school shopping, if you'd like! Order by June 17th for convenience!

One final event to close out the week .... our annual SWAT Week fundraiser dodgeball game. What a great afternoon, and congratulations to our winning team! Thank you to Mrs. Wisniewski and Mrs. Yeagley for organizing this fun event, and helping raise funds for a worthy cause.

As we approach the end of the semester, we want to provide you with important details regarding test exemptions and student check-out procedures:
Exemption Days: Semester test exemption days are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Class-Based Exemptions: Exemptions are granted on a class-by-class basis. Students are not required to attend classes for which they are exempt. However, if a student is on campus, they are expected to attend all of their scheduled classes and take the semester test for any class they attend.
Check-In and Check-Out: Students may check in and out between test sessions, but they may not arrive late to a test session or leave early.
Make-Up Test Day: Any student who misses a semester test will have the opportunity to make it up on Thursday, May 22.
Walk-Home Permission: Students who have a walk-home form on file may be checked out for test sessions only if a parent or guardian calls the office before 9:30 AM on that day to give verbal permission.
Check-Out by Another Parent: If your child plans to be checked out by another student’s parent, please call the office before 9:30 AM to provide permission.
In-Person Check-Outs After 9:30 AM: If permission to walk home or be checked out by another adult has not been given by 9:30 AM, your child may still be checked out, but it must be in person by the parent or guardian. This policy helps our office staff prepare accurate walker lists.
Broncho Time Check-Outs: Students may be checked out during Broncho Time from 1:30 to 3:00 PM on Wednesday. Please note that this is a high-traffic time in the office and long lines are expected, so we encourage you to plan accordingly.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the Middle School office.

This has been a busy week for BMS students -- in addition to preparing for the end of the year and semester tests, students had an Awards Ceremony on Monday night, and a yearbook signing party on Tuesday after school. We hope everyone is loving their BMS yearbooks this year!

Congratulations to our May (final for the year!) students of the month! 8th grade: Walley Espinoza, Lilly Weece; 7th grade Maddox Edwards, Blythe Hawkinson; 6th grade Kennedy Brooks, Boston Pipkin. Way to finish the year strong, Bronchos!

REMINDER -- Tuesday, May 20th at 6pm, there will be a meeting at the HS Corral for anyone interested in running cross country next school year. We will be discussing what summer workouts look like and expectations. We do not know about 6th graders running right now, if you have an incoming 6th grader that is interested in running I would still come to the meeting for the information just in case. Again, if you are not able to make this meeting please message me on Rooms or by email at zcoulson@bethanyschools.com
Thank you so much!
Coach Zac Coulson
