Yearbook staff members had a great (late!) evening after the awards ceremony last night , getting their own "reveal" of this year's book they worked so hard to create, and then preparing and organizing books for today's signing party. Great job to the staff ... what a year, and what a book! (Students who are not attending the signing party after school today will receive their books Wednesday during Broncho Time.)
Information for 8th grade athletes who are planning to play high school football next year:
1. The players meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, May 19th.
2. Students who are already in strength and conditioning will attend that meeting during 7th hour on Monday.
3. Students who are NOT currently in 7th hour strength & conditioning will need to arrange transportation to the field at 3pm on Monday. We will not be releasing from school for the meeting.
4. All players need to go to the field house this week after school, either Tue-Wed-Thur to meet regarding equipment.

Final reminder!! Tomorrow is the last day to buy a ticket to the yearbook signing party ....$10 gets you pizza, drinks, snacks, pens, stickers, games, prizes, and music ..... plus time to sign books with friends a day early! Bring your money to the MS officy by 3pm Friday to get put on the list! (and if you still need a yearbook, we did receive extras from our publisher when they were shipped! Book cost is $65.)

Students taking part in LEAP this semester spent time on roller coaster projects, studying key concepts such as potential energy, kinetic energy, friction, and conservation of energy, not to mention problem solving, trial-and-error, and team-work.
Both the middle school and high school orchestra students will be putting on their end-of-year concert performance tonight, beginning at 7pm in the HS auditorium. Everyone is invited to attend!
Yearbook signing party tickets are available this week in the MS office --- event will happen next Tuesday, May 13th, from 3:15 until 4:15 in the elementary cafeteria. Can't wait to see you there!

Time: 5 pm – 7 pm
Where: High school baseball field/Indoor Facility
Cost to play: 200.00 per player
There will be a Varsity and a Junior Varsity team.
Each team will consist of 14-15 players. Season will
run from the last week of May thru June 25 th .
Players will play two double headers a week. Tryout
is open to all current 6 th ,7 th , and 8 th grade players.
Members of the BPS Indian Ed programs (elementary, middle, and high school) attended a field trip to the Oklahoma History Museum yesterday. Such a great museum!
Reminder, BMS softball tryouts have been moved to May 15th. If your student athlete is also trying out for basketball (we apologize for the schedule conflict; softball tryouts had to be moved due to BHS Baseball getting to host regionals!) have them talk to Coach Kyzer in advance.
Middle school orchestra students are prepping for their spring concert, taking place TUESDAY 5/6 at 7pm in the Shellenberger Performing Arts Center. Students have been practicing a commissioned piece titled (any guesses?) "Tin Foil Hats" .... we can't wait to see what they and Directors Mann and Uthe have prepared! All are invited to attend!

Welcome to Physicals and Final Forms for the 2025-2026 school year!
Athletic and marching band physicals will be given at the middle school on Tuesday, May 6th. The cost for the physical is $20. Suggested times to keep lines shorter are:
HS Girls: 5:00 pm
MS Girls: 5:20 pm
MS Boys: 5:45 pm
HS Boys: 6:00 pm
You must be checked in by 7:00 pm to make sure you are able to get a physical. We are aware there is an orchestra concert that evening. So if your student is involved in that make sure they are in line at 5:00 pm.
You can pay with cash, a check (payable to BPS) or online. Here is the link to purchase online https://bit.ly/bethanytickets
If you purchase online you will get to skip one portion of the line. The OSSAA changed the physical form for this year. The one attached (coaches should have sent home a hard copy) is the one we need for next year. Hard copies can also be picked up in the HS and MS office. If you will have all pages completed EXCEPT the physical exam page prior to arriving this will also speed up the process. We will have copies on physical night but that will take more time. If your student wears contacts or glasses, make sure they wear them to physicals. This could save you a trip to get a physical clearance later due to poor eyesight.
This year we are also going to have a room set up with computers so that parents new to the process can create their Final Forms accounts. If you already have an account you can update it there that night too. We will also have an interpreter to assist with setting up and updating Final Forms and filling out the physical form for our non-English speakers.

Also take photos of the 3 pages of the physical that you complete prior to getting the physical.
At checkout this year we will have students take a photo of the physical examination page and also use an iPad to login into their Final Forms account and upload the entire physical.
All incoming athletes and marching band members will have to have Final Forms completed and a current, cleared physical on file before practicing when the new season begins. This applies to next year's 7th-12th grade. If you have an incoming 6th grader sometimes they are allowed to participate in sports where we do not have enough participants. As of right now only MS softball has been approved to add 6th grade.
Bethany Youth Football and Cheer you are welcome to get your physicals this night too. You will not need a Final Forms account, only the physical form.
