February is Random Acts of Kindness Month here at BMS, starting with our first activity this Thursday after school, Sidewalk Chalks of Encouragement. All students are welcome and encouraged to take part in this, and all the events happening this month. The goal of Random Acts of Kindness Month in February is to inspire, promote, and normalize daily kindness, creating a ripple effect that strengthens communities, reduces stress, and boosts mental health. It encourages intentional acts of compassion and selflessness to make the world a better, more connected place. Take a look at our list of upcoming events!

🥒Snack: Dill pickle chips
🌮Restaurant: Alfredos

It was an exciting weekend for basketball fans as both of our 8th grade teams made it to the championship games of the Weatherford tournament on Saturday. The Lady Bronchos finished second, falling to Darlington in the final game. The boys team came out on top against Mustang with a score of 53-45, and were named tournament champs! Great job to both teams, the players, managers, coaches (and parents, who drove back and forth to Weatherford for three days in a row!) on the event.

An unusual or fun fact about yourself: I’ve been a school nurse for 23 years! 🎉Most of those years were with Roosevelt Middle School in south OKC.

What made you get into school nursing?

“My parents were both teachers and I was venturing into the medical field, but I ended up in public school nursing. I guess it was just in my blood.”

We are so grateful to have Mrs.Brown on our nursing staff!
