
Students in Mrs. Dillard's fifth hour class explore teamwork, problem solving, and engineering skills by working on lego projects, spanning imaginary rivers with stipulations such as; 10 feet long, 15 feet long, use all 50 legos, etc.

The Young Eagles flights offer free opportunities for students ages 8-17 around Oklahoma at least once per month in our area. Middle school students are encouraged to participate in your aviation programs.
The next 2 nearest events still open for registration are:
October 12th in Prague, Oklahoma
and
October 19th in Ada, Oklahoma
Space is limited, so contact Coach Allen in Room S9 if you would like to register."


Our high school volleyball team is hosting Regionals this Thursday and will play (at home) at 1pm. Students are allowed to attend the game, but the following things must happen:
1. Parent/guardian must check students out in person.
2. Parent/guardian must attend game with student.
3. Student must check in with admin at game.
4. All persons must pay to attend ($10 per person; no passes)
5. Student is responsible for all missed work.

LEAP Students -- there will be a LEAP field trip to the Thunder Blue game at the Paycom Center, sponsored by the Science Museum of Oklahoma, on Wednesday, 2/26/25. Money and sign up form are due by Thursday, 10/10/24. Sign up forms are available in the middle school office.

Students in Mr. Toler’s 8th grade History class had a zoom question and answer session with Christopher Garrity (Nonpartisan, Independent, No Party Affiliation) Mr. Garrity is running for election for President of the United States, and is on the Oklahoma ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024.

Students who attended the Indian Ed meeting yesterday received books from the Scholastic Book Fair, courtesy of the Indian Ed program. Indian Ed meets the first and third Wedneday of every month after school. Students take part in crafts, projects, and field trips throughout the year. All students are welcome to attend, regardless of native heritage.
