"Safe Schools, Safe Community Bond Election"


On Tuesday, August 25th, Bethany voters who live within the Bethany Public School district boundaries, will consider a $7.1 million bond proposal intended to increase student and community safety, add needed classrooms and maintain high-quality learning environments.


Voting on Election Day
All registered voters residing within Bethany School boundaries may vote in the school district’s bond election at their regular precinct. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25th. Polling places are:

  • Bethany First Church of the Nazarene, west foyer, 6789 NW 39th Expressway
  • Bethany Metropolitan Library, 6700 NW 35th street.

Voter Registration
Residents of the Bethany Public Schools district who are not yet registered to vote must have their registrations in the Oklahoma County Election Board offices by July 13 if they wish to vote in the August 25th bond election.

Voter registration forms may be picked up at any tag agency, at the Oklahoma County Election Board or by visiting the Oklahoma State Election Board website.

Absentee Voting
Any registered voter in Oklahoma may vote by absentee ballot. Applications for absentee ballots must be made in writing. Applications may be obtained by calling the Oklahoma County Election Board at 713-1515 or by visiting the Oklahoma State Election Board website. The completed application for an absentee ballot must be submitted to the county election board no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19th.

Your completed absentee ballot must be returned via mail and be in the Oklahoma County Election Board offices no later than 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25th.
